SAFETY RECALL

PROCEDURE DESCRIPTION

Procedure to determine if your 2005 Summit Safety harness is subject to this recall:

  1. Locate the warning label shown below, which is attached to the free end of the main tether strap.
  2. Locate the indicated origin of manufacture location (figure 1). If the label contains the words "Made in China", check the box labeled "YES", other wise check "NO".
  3. Locate the indicated Year of Manufacture location (figure 2). If the label indicates it was manufactured in the year 2005, check the box labeled "YES", otherwise check "NO".
  4. If BOTH "YES" boxes were checked, this harness is subject to recall. Please follow the instructions in section B. If EITHER box was checked "NO", this harness is NOT subject to recall.
  5. If both "YES" boxes were checked, DO NOT USE THIS HARNESS. A replacement will be provided at no cost to you. Continue to section B of the form.

SPECIAL NOTES

Product Description:
2005 Summit Safety Harness of the type included in accessories packets of treestands purchased after June, 2005. Any treestands purchased before June 20, 2005 are not affected by this recall.

  • This recall DOES NOT affect any harness manufactured in 2006-2008.
  • This recall DOES NOT affect any harness manufactured with multi-color camouflage webbing.
  • This recall DOES NOT affect any harness manufactured in Taiwan.
  • This recall DOES NOT include any Seat-O-The-Pants harnesses.

Procedure for receiving a replacement Safety Harness:

Submit your information on next page by clicking on "Click here to receive a return kit" or call 800-353-0634.

Once you have completed your submission allow at least 3 weeks for a return kit to arrive through the US Mail.

Once you have received the kit follow the instructions provided which are also stated below.

If both YES boxes are checked:

  1. Cut main tether strap below warning label and just above the cross strap. Warning label must remain attached to cut piece.
  2. Fill out form below with all information requested. Do not give PO Box for delivery
  3. Put cut strap and completed form into prepaid envelope and send by US Mail.
