Dear Summit Tree Stand Company,

I hunt a classic northern New England, rugged, remote, large tract of timber land. It has old cellar holes, evidence of early farming, mining, and large glacial boulders. I found that the large bucks roam deep in these tracts and only nocturnally venture near farms or roads. I waited until the mid-November rut started and hiked in over a mile with my Summit Viper X5 climbing tree stand and .270 custom Encore rifle. Big buck sign always had been evident here in previous years.  I used my Summit Tree stand which I purchased through LL Bean in Freeport, Maine to climb up a 12” yellow birch tree. This provided an excellent view of a rugged mountain side. Within 3 hours I rattled in this huge buck. He came down, criss crossing the hillside in open timber, low to the ground, looking for me. I dropped the 10 pointer at 100 yards with one shot from my custom Encore .270. There is no doubt that the Summit Viper X5 Tree Stand was instrumental in the taking of this trophy New England Whitetail. Not only was the Summit Tree Stand light in weight to carry in, but climbed easily and quietly. It is truly safe, extremely comfortable, and provides excellent stability for accurate shooting. It took 2 days to get out the huge 222 lb Whitetail with the help of a friend and deer cart. A New Hampshire Wildlife Biologist estimated the live weight at 260+ lbs. He ranked number 7 of all the firearms deer taken during the New Hampshire 2005 season.  I look forward to using this great tree stand in the upcoming 2006 season.
