His tips for finding the right spot: 1) Use Google Earth or MyTopo.com to select a line that passes through forested hunting grounds; 2) Scout where deer move in relation to the line, and identify abundant food sources nearby; and 3) Look for low spots and dips in the terrain where deer feel less exposed, and set up your tree stand in a location that overlooks them.
