We are issuing a voluntary recall on the Viper Level PRO SD climbing treestand, which was released in January 2022 and sold through October 2022. This model has two SKU numbers: SU81140 AND SU81141. The Viper Level PRO SD treestand is being recalled because a cable can dislodge during use, posing a fall hazard.
Individuals in possession of the Viper Level PRO SD must discontinue use immediately and return to the manufacturer for a full refund. Summit will make arrangements for the affected treestand to be returned at no cost to the consumer. Please follow the instructions below to begin the return process.

Safety is our first priority and we decided to conduct a voluntary recall on all Viper Level PRO SD climbing treestands with the integrated EasyLevel dial system.
The model number does not appear on the treestand itself but is contained in the instruction manual and product packaging.
The stand can be differentiated from other Summit climbing stands because it has the EasyLevel dial system which allows for the level of the treestand to be changed while at height.
The warning label located on the stand’s seat will have a mark next to the product name “VIPER LEVEL PRO”.

Summit will make arrangements for the affected treestand to be returned at no cost to the consumer.
Reimbursement will be sent for the cost of the product plus approximate taxes/original shipping costs or the amount on the receipt within 7-10 days of receiving and processing the returned stand.
